Makuuchi Debut Fujinokawa
Fujinowaka (formerly Wakaikari) is the first Rikishi from Isenoumi Stable to reach the top division since Nishikigi in the May 2016 tournament.
He is the 4th wrestler from Kyoto Prefecture to reach the top division post WWII, following Oikari, who was promoted in the November 1998 tournament.
Makuuchi Debut Kusano
Kusano is the first Rikishi from Isegahama Stable to reach the top division since the current stablemaster took over. As of the stable, this is the first promotion since Takerufuji in the March 2024 tournament.
He is the 21st wrestler from Kumamoto Prefecture to reach the top division post WWII, and the first since Shodai, who was promoted in the January 2016 basho.
He is the 43rd former student from Nihon University to reach the top division, also following Takerufuji.
Komusubi Takayasu
Takayasu stays in the Komusubi-rank for the second consecutive tournament.
It is the first time since the 15-day tournament schedule was established, that a Komusubi with 6 wins in the previous tournament is Komusubi again in the following one.
Komusubi Debut Oshoma
Oshoma is the first Rikishi from Naruto Stable to reach the Komusubi-rank, since it was founded by the current stablemaster.
He is the 15th wrestler from Mongolia to achieve this, following Hoshoryu, who was promoted in the March 2022 basho.
Oshoma is the 7th former student of Nippon Sport Science University to reach the rank, following Onosato, who was promoted in the May 2024 tournament.
